Spanish speakers were in areas now known as states of this great republic we call the United States of America long before English speakers.  Hispanic culture is part of the American experience and here to stay.  Spanish is quickly becoming our “second national language.”  On these pages, let’s explore some of the contributions and challenges facing Hispanics here in the United States of America.
